
1. Reading – parents must spend calm time with their children. Reading is one of the most effective ways to take advantage of that quiet time. Research has told us that reading is an important factor in the success of children. In addition to quiet time, parents must bring their children to bookstores or libraries on a regular schedule to try and motivate them to read. This process must begin at a very early age, but it’s never too late.
2. Meeting with parents – parents must be familiar with all teachers responsible for their children’s education. The teacher will be more involved with children if parents are involved with them. This can be useful for children by having someone who can make extra efforts to identify the strengths and weaknesses of education. The parents involved will have a pipe to the teacher, who can help them get help if their children need, or recommend special programs. Furthermore, children will be less likely to behave badly when they know their parents have a relationship with their teacher. The parent-teacher conference is a must for parents.
3. Providing an educational environment – parents must organize their homes to be conducive to academic success for their children. The house must indicate that education is important. This can be done by having educational materials throughout the house, especially in children’s bedrooms. This material can consist of computers, printers, books, magazines, lots of paper, pencils and notebooks. This environment must have something to read throughout the house, as well as posters of education, art, and words on the wall of the child in the bedroom.
4. Routines – When raising successful children, parents must develop routines that keep them on schedule. This routine will give children a successful way to organize their lives. Some important routines include: what time is to get up in the morning, what time sleeps at night, what time is set aside to learn every night, television is limited for a week, there are no video games for a week, read every night, what time is each task What day and time eat every day. Parents can develop routines that they consider important.
5. Extracurricular activities – Parents can accelerate their children’s education when they are exposed to extracurricular activities. For example, if the five-year-old children start learning how to play the piano. Parents will pay attention to how quickly they develop other skills. Reading, mathematical skills, and listening will be increased. Furthermore, involved in activities that require physical activities will also increase the capacity of education. Increasing the heartbeat from exercise will help improve the fitness of children as a whole, making it more alert to school.
6. Education Sightseeing – Many educational benefits can be derived from taking children in educational trips throughout the country. Children who visit zoos, parks and aquariums can learn about animals. The museum can be extraordinary to learn about history and art. During and after the parent’s journey must discuss what children observed from sightseeing. These benefits are very useful for the overall education of children.
7. Help with homework – Parents must set a certain time that children do homework every day. The schedule must be the same every day, so children can develop routines. The location for homework must have all the necessary supplies such as; paper, pencil, dictionary, computer, printer, etc.; Parents must be available for assistance whenever needed and children must do some kind of homework every night.
8. Volunteers in schools – parents must try and become part of their children’s education as a whole, which includes volunteers at school. Volunteers are something that will benefit the school and show your children that you are worried about their education.
